Redondo Beach Pier

The horseshoe pier in King Harbor is one of the most reliable bait-fish platforms in the South Bay. Pacific mackerel, bonito, and queenfish school around the bait receivers; calicos and the odd halibut show on the bottom. It is a different fishery from the open-coast Hermosa and Manhattan piers just up the sand — calmer water, more harbor structure, more night lights.
